Integrated massage includes one or more of the following massage modalities, but is more than just a type of massage. Integrated massage includes a level of communication with your therapist that tailors your massage experience to your individual needs. It brings a greater understanding to customer and therapist which can assist with solutions and/or directions to your healing. You can request focus on any one of the following modalities but the overall style of your massage wil be integrative.
Deep Tissue- Is a more focused therapy. The technique targets specific areas of tension in deep muscle tissues, works to release adhesion which are rigid bands that can cause chronic tension and restrict motion.
Swedish- A great way to relax and unwind. Manipulates the body soft tissues, muscles, tendons, ligaments and Blood vessels and improves blood circulation. Swedish Massage may help reduce symptoms of depression, stress and anxiety.
Reflexology- A non-invasive therapy that can promote deep relaxation and well being. Reflexology is a system that reduces stress. It is a touch therapy based on different joints on the feet, hands, face, ears that corresponds with different areas of the body.
Cranial Sacral- A gentle hands on technique, it uses light touch to examine membranes and movement of the fluids in and around the central nervous system. Gentle placement of hands to assist release of the body's connective tissue or fascia. Helps to boost Self Regulation, Self Correction and Self Healing.
Stretching - Lengthens muscle fibers that have contracted from lack of use or excessive use, restores flexibility, restores muscle balance, warms muscles, stretching the body stimulates digestive organs, reduce inflammation in joints, relieves tension, improves circulation, improves posture.
Fascia is the connective tissue which surrounds all muscles, ligaments, bones and organs. The fascia can lose elasticity through physical trauma and poor posture. This technique applies forces in opposing directions through stretching the fascia and relaxing the tissue, which can ease pain and increase mobility in surrounding muscles.
